Dr. Vishwanath Bite
Assistant Professor of English · Editor-in-Chief · Author · EdTech Developer · Rider
Government Vidarbha Institute of Science & Humanities, Amravati, Maharashtra
Academic by Profession.
Rider by Passion.
I began my academic journey with an M.A. from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2006, followed by a PhD in 2009 — specialising in Indian Writing in English, Indian English Drama, and Postcolonial Literature. What started as a simple blog sharing study notes with students grew organically to 4,000 subscribers, which told me something important: students were hungry for accessible, high-quality guidance.
In 2010 I founded The Criterion, an international peer-reviewed journal in English Literature — because I believed every researcher deserved an affordable, rigorous platform. Galaxy IMRJ followed in 2012, expanding the mission to all disciplines. Both journals are now in their 15th and 12th years respectively, having published thousands of scholars from undergraduate to PhD level across the world.
The Literary Rides brand emerged from my Royal Enfield Desert Storm — because knowledge, like riding, is about the journey. VocabPro, the YouTube channels, the podcast, the books — all of it serves one belief: brilliant minds should never be held back by a lack of guidance, platform, or community.

The Rider & Photographer
Literary Rides is not just a brand name — it is a philosophy born on the road. My Royal Enfield Desert Storm has taken me across India, and somewhere between the open highways and the chapters I was teaching, I understood that learning and riding share the same spirit: freedom, discipline, and the courage to keep moving forward.
I shoot with a Sony DSLR and document rides on Instagram at @vishwanathbite. The professor in the classroom and the rider on the highway are not two different people — they are the same conviction expressed in two different languages.
